In an elegant ceremony held in Cairo, Egypt, the "Union of Arab Bankers" awarded Bank of Khartoum the title of "The Most Established and Strongest Bank in Sudan" as part of the 2024 Banking Excellence and Achievement Awards. The award was received by Ms. Lamia Satti, the General Manager of Bank of Khartoum, reaffirming the bank’s historical significance and its pioneering role in the banking sector.
Bank of Khartoum has demonstrated exceptional resilience and outstanding management in navigating the extraordinary circumstances the country has faced during the war. Thanks to its prudent measures and swift responses, the bank has successfully overcome challenges and continued providing uninterrupted banking services to its diverse clientele. Its role was not limited to maintaining smooth banking operations but also extended to offering services across Sudan and the region, helping to alleviate the suffering of Sudanese citizens, supporting local communities, and meeting their financial needs during these difficult times.

Mobile
Banking Service (Bankak)
The
mobile banking services (Bankak) now serves more than 2.8 million registered
subscribers. The number of registered users on Bankak grew by 200% in 2024,
with 562,000 new subscriptions, executing over 630,000 transactions, with a
total value of 163 trillion Sudanese pounds through the end of the 2024.
Retail
Branches
In 2024,
Bank of Khartoum sustained its expansion efforts, reaching 47 branches,
reflecting its commitment to providing comprehensive banking services across
the country despite difficult circumstances.
IBOK
(Internet Banking - Individuals)
The
Individual Internet Banking Service recorded 5,900 users, with 33,000
transactions valued at 18 billion Sudanese pounds.
IBOK+
(Internet Banking - Corporate)
The
Corporate Internet Banking Service achieved 540 registered
companies/organizations, with 1,300 active users, processing over 169,000
transactions, totaling a value of 3 trillion Sudanese pounds.
June 2023
The Bankak mobile banking service recorded exceptional growth in 2023, with transaction volumes increasing by 39%, transaction values rising by 71%, and shared-account transactions expanding by 150%.
The total value of financial transactions conducted through the app exceeded 65 trillion Sudanese pounds, supported by the addition of 73 new services and the launch of a new Android version in April 2023, offering a faster and more seamless digital experience.
The number of Bankak users surpassed 2.3 million customers, with 608,000 new subscribers joining during 2023. This consistent growth highlights the trust and satisfaction of our expanding customer base.
The Bankak app recorded more than 360 million financial transactions, with a total value exceeding 65 trillion Sudanese pounds by the end of 2023 — reflecting the strong adoption of digital banking services across the country.

Branches
In 2023, Bank of Khartoum continued its expansion by operating 43 branches across Sudan, maintaining its service delivery despite ongoing challenges.
Sales
Point Expansion
The Bank expanded its network of sales points to reach 2,703 locations by the end of 2023. These points processed over 6 million transactions between 2022 and 2023, improving accessibility and convenience for customers across Sudan.
ATM
Network Growth
The total number of ATMs operated by the Bank reached 314 machines, representing one of the largest and most reliable ATM networks in Sudan, ensuring continuous access to banking services for customers nationwide.
Visa
Cards Performance
In 2023, the Bank issued 3,595 Visa cards, with total transactions exceeding 9,175 and a cumulative transaction value of $670,879 USD. This growth reflects the Bank’s commitment to promoting secure and modern payment solutions for its customers.
Online
Account Opening
For the
first time, Bank of Khartoum enabled customers to open new accounts
electronically through its online banking platform, allowing digital document
verification and reducing the need for in-branch visits.
This
milestone represents a major step forward in the Bank’s journey toward full
digitalization and customer convenience.

Banking Executive Awards 2015” Hosted top banks from all Arab Countries on a
night that celebrated the banking sector’s finest. Bank of Khartoum was there
and well represented by The CEO Mr. Fadi Al Faqih, BOK Head of Treasury and
Investment Mr. Khaled Zada, and BOK Head of International Business Development
Mr. Jalel Baklouti. In addition to six of BOK's diligent and aspiring staff.
